Paprika Beef

This is comfort food at its best. An easy and tasty midweek meal. Perfect for when the pantry is a bit depleted.

What you need…

750g chuck steak, cut into cubes

2 Tablespoons olive oil

1 Tablespoon paprika

2 medium onions, sliced

2 cloves garlic, crushed

2 teaspoons Sea Salt

1 1/2 cups water

1 1/2 Tablespoons brown sugar

3 bay leaves

3 Tablespoons gluten free flour

1/2 cup water (extra)

What to do…
Heat oil in frypan. Add meat, paprika garlic and onions. Stir and cook on high heat until onions are browned. Place meat into the slow cooker.
Add combined water (1 1/2 cups), salt, sugar and bay leaves to the frypan. Reduce heat, scrape bottom of pan and cook for 2 minutes. Pour into slow cooker.

Cover and cook beef on low setting for 7 hours.

Mix flour and water (extra 1/2 cup) in a cup until smooth. Pour into slow cooker and stir until combined. Replace lid and cook for a further hour.

Serve with mashed sweet potato and steamed vegetables
